unlawful possession

Client charged with unlawful possession of a firearm after having been served with a protective order. (ORS 166.255) The prosecutor thought that possession of a firearm by a person served with a restraining order was prohibited, but he was wrong. I did the prosecutor's job for him by breaking down the federal and state statutes into small, digestible chunks. Once he finally understood the law he knew that I was right and dismissed the charge.
